What is Quantum Therapy?
Quantum Therapy is for the spiritually minded and those who are on a spiritual path. It addresses powerful moments in our past that stick with us. Using visualizations, we change the way the past affects our present selves; we heal our past selves in order to heal our current selves.
What Does Quantum Mean?
In the subatomic world, everything behaves differently. There are different rules in the quantum field and things operate in ways we’re not used to. That's why quantum is an appropriate term for this therapy. We’re asking ourselves to be open to any possibilities, even the ones we can’t imagine here in this field of existence.
Quantum physicists have concluded it is possible for particles to exist in many states at once. The concept of superposition states it is not just possible but likely a particle exists in every possible iteration of expression. Scientists are divided over what happens next. Some people agree with the Copenhagen Interpretation which says, essentially, as soon as we measure the particle, all other possible states collapse and no longer exist. The other option is the particle remains in all its possible states, just not in this universe; thus the multiverse theory emerges. Amazing, right? There is also what Einstein observed as “spooky action at a distance,” now called quantum entanglement, which is what happens when two particles get linked; when we identify, label, constrain one particle, the other responds instantaneously no matter the distance.
When we go through the world, we’re conditioned to experience life in this human body. We’re not attuned to the subatomic world, but we could be. There is so much happening in the quantum field. For some of us, it is beneficial to think about how the truths of the quantum field can aid us in this field of existence.
Who Can Benefit from Quantum Therapy?
Quantum therapy is intended for spiritually minded people; those who are open to the concepts of karma, dharma, reincarnation, and other multidimensional explorations.
Why Would Someone Need This?
If you have particularly persistent memories, big or small, which have never sat right, quantum therapy can help. Any agitating core memory can be soothed through quantum therapy.
This intervention is also helpful for treating grief. Many of us have relationships we can’t heal in our lifetime, whether it’s because of estrangement, health reasons, or death. What’s amazing about this work is the healing has to be–and can be–done on a different timeline. Remember superposition? There are subatomic aspects of you who can still take action toward healing. With certain relationships, this is the only way full healing can happen.
What We Do During Quantum Therapy
We start by honoring our whole selves–body, mind, and spirit. As we set out to do some very deep work in our psyche, in the quantum field, our whole selves are shifting from a world-focused posture to one receptive to all possible ways of healing.
We then begin a visualization.
When we do this visualization it does two things:
- Provides rest and healing for your nervous system because visualization is akin to meditation.
- Allows you to imagine a perfect scenario. While that seems like it’s simple, imagining a perfect scenario brings up a lot about ourselves, exposing our values, preferences, and limiting beliefs.
What Happens During the Session
We begin with meditative practice to connect to the calm within. I invite the person to close their eyes and take deep breaths. Imagine as you breathe in, this positive energy goes throughout your body, to your finger tips, and the tips of your toes. The positive energy pushes into the limits of your body. When you exhale, I invite you to imagine the positive energy pushing through the limits of your body. We inhale and exhale, keeping this concept active, reminding you the physical boundaries we perceive so easily are actually entirely permeable by thought, energy, quanta; these boundaries–most boundaries–are not going to be part of this session.
I ask you to imagine you're in a dome filled with light. It’s very calm, free of clutter, serene.
Then I ask you to bring in a powerful being. It can be anything or anyone that you have a connection to. Some people like to call this being a higher self, an angel, a religious deity, divine presence, God. This being can make anything happen. They have perfect wisdom, know the exact interval, pressure, and style of love that you need to receive. They can change anything, bring anything into existence, become anything, and are all powerful. Because they know everything, they are calm. That figure / higher self is with you in this space.
Now let’s create an example: I ask you to imagine a version of you–a younger self–who needed help. I would ask you to visualize opening a door that brings you and your higher self right to that scene. You describe it.
I was five years old and at a gymnastics tournament. I was overwhelmed and scared that I would make a mistake and feel awful. My parents didn’t intervene or comfort me in the way I wanted them to.
I would ask you to describe the specifics and then we would remove a lot of the other people and background noise, so we could really focus on that version of yourself. Your current self and your higher self are in that scene, as well. In that space, with the support of a divine being, I would direct you to give loving care to that five year old version of yourself. Notice how the five year old responds. Do not be put off by their childish fears, short attention span, or anything. Instead, allow the divine being to help provide the perfect care to this child. The higher self, God, what-have-you, will know and be able to provide exactly what this child needs.
The higher self can also help the child receive it. Sometimes we are uncomfortable receiving gifts, receiving love; the divine entity can help the child with that.
Fortified by your presence, your care, the presence and care of the higher self, you can now watch the five year old version of yourself act with confidence, certainty, self-compassion.
Pay attention to all of the details. This younger self had real concerns: they didn’t want to look like a baby, the task seemed insurmountable, they fell in the past and got hurt. But now this younger version of you is transformed.
Transformed as they are, fortified with this miracle, the course of that five year old’s life is changed. I would invite you to watch this child grow through their life, facing all the familiar trials of your own life, but able to do it differently. When the child has grown to your age you are now face to face with a different version of yourself. At this point I direct you to conclude the healing journey in whatever way feels best. Sometimes people swap or merge. Sometimes a token or talisman is shared. Sometimes there is simply a loving embrace imbued with gratitude.
I will, then, invite you to bring your attention to your own body, feeling the changes integrating back within your bodily confines. Slowly, gently, you’ll bring your awareness back to the here and now.
Mind Body Connection
This visualization also works on the mind body level. Your brain is connected to your body. Your thoughts can activate physical responses. If you think about biting into a lemon or a sour pickle, your salivary glands will become active. It’s just one of the many ways our brains are powerful enough to change our biochemistry in an instant.
When quantum therapy is about healing relationships that can’t be healed in our lifetime, your memories and relationships do change in the present. It doesn’t mean you get to call that person, but it does mean your relationship to that relationship is healing. Even though you are visualizing alternate timeline healing, ultimately it’s healing you in this present moment.
